District Announcements
Alleged Threat Made on Social Media
OUHSD administration is aware of the alleged threat that has been posted on social media.  We have been cooperating with Oroville Police, Butte County Sheriff, and the Butte County Office of Education.

A few moments ago, the Oroville Police Department announced the suspect has been taken into custody in Fresno.  However, due to the threat, Oroville Police and Butte County Sheriff have both committed to increase law enforcement presence on ALL Oroville school campuses tomorrow.

All OUHSD administration and staff are trained to follow our safety plan, which was written in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies.

Our highest priority is the safety of our students and staff.  We will not do things to put either students or staff in harms way. As such, we believe it is safe to hold classes tomorrow.  If this changes, we will use both social media and the OUHSD website to make an announcement.
3rd Annual College Fair
The OUHSD 3rd Annual College Fair is being held on October 4th from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Las Plumas High gym.  There will be 35 colleges in attendance.  All middle school and high school students and parents are invited to attend this free event.
